YVONNE BARRETT-EDWARDS is the Director of Energy Economics and Planning in the Energy Division of the Ministry; a position she has held since November 2006.  Yvonne oversees activities relating to monitoring energy supply and demand, emphasizing statistics with a view to conducting impact analyses; providing technical, economic, social and energy related data and enhancing the planning and decision making function at the ministerial, national, sub-regional and regional levels.  She also facilitates policy development through constant dialogue with key stakeholders.  In addition to her duties as Director of Energy Economics and Planning, Yvonne also serves in the following capacities:

• Wigton Windfarm Limited – Board Director;
• Caribbean Energy Information System (CEIS) – National Liaison Officer;
• CARICOM Energy Programme – National Focal Point for Energy;
• Ad hoc Working Group (AWG) on Energy Information and Knowledge Management Systems for the Caribbean Community – Member; and
• School of Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board, University of Technology – Member (Chairperson – January 2011 to December 2014).
