Minister of Science, Energy and Technology Hon. The occasion was the launch of the Government of Jamaica EV Trial Programme held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Jaguar/Land Rover Showroom, in Kingston. The GOJ-EV Trial programme forms a part of the IDB mandate to provide Sustainable Transport, and Renewable Energy Powered Electro-mobility Support to Jamaica. The project aims to support the GOJ’s Strategic Framework for Electric Mobility by conducting the relevant assessments, feasibility studies, and training to bolster the development of a national EV ecosystem.

Ebong (right), sign the US$739,507 Grant Agreement for the Enhanced Access to Emergency Services Project. The Agreement was signed on September 7, 2022, and will facilitate the funding of technical services to support the implementation of the project. The Enhanced Access to Emergency Services Project, will allow for the establishment of a co-ordinated governance framework, to improve efficiency in the dispatch of emergency response services.
